Learn to say NO!
People around you show resistance when you start turning down their constant requests. I know you’re going to experience guilt consciousness a lot many times, but remember you are doing this for yourself. You are fulfilling your human needs that are as important as that request you just turned down.
When you start setting down boundaries about what you are and aren’t willing to do, it can be hard to stand your ground in the face of push-back from those around you. Remember: you can take half an hour for yourself, and the world will still be there when you return. And when you do return, you’ll be in a much better, healthier position to deal with the world around you.
Self-care is not a luxury. It’s not selfish and it’s not indulgent. Self-care is absolutely necessary to your physical and mental health.
Now, it is important to understand that "Self-care is not a reward! It should be your lifestyle!"
Here’s a little hack for you if you struggle taking out time for yourself. Focus on “a little and too often”, as opposed to big chunks once in a while. You’ll snap out of it in no time! So take slow and small steps and make one change at a time.
Remember, ONE SMALL STEP = BIG POSITIVE CHANGES and ABUNDANCE OF HAPPINESS.
